Zoe Tsokanou is the new Director of the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra 20 May 2017

Zoe Tsokanou is the new Director of the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra after the decision of the Greek Minister of Culture and Sports Mrs Lydia Koniordou. Mrs Tsokanou will take over her duties after 6 June 2017, when Mr. Vranos's incumbency ends.

Zoe Tsokanou was born in Thessaloniki and graduated by the School of Music Studies of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She continued her piano and orchestra conducting studies in the Zurich University of the Arts.

Since 2014-15 season she is permanent conductor at Theater Erfurt.

Zoe Tsokanou has conducted the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, the Athens Symphony Orchestra, the orchestra of the Greek National Opera the National Symphony Orchestra of E.R.T. etc
