A very pleasent surprise was expecting all the passengers were departing this noon from the Thessaloniki Airport 'Macedonia'. The Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Athanasios Sourgounis, gave a 'Farewell Concert' in cooperation with the Fraport Greece, with excerpts from 'Carmen', 'Gouglielmo Tello' and 'Swan Lake'. The baritone Akis Lalousis sang the famous Toreador Song.

The Fraport Greece responded to the T.S.S.O. request for this concert supporting its particularly important role in promoting and spreading the cultural wealth of the city.

This action is one of the various similar events that the T.S.S.O. is going to organize in several places all over Thessaloniki, in order to make the symphonic music a main part of the city's everyday life.
