The immortal beauty of the classic 13 January 2018

"Working with the orchestra was a delight.
The musicians are marvelous and very open
to the new ideas."

Ektoras Tartanis, conductor

The 700 music fans who attended yesterday's T.S.S.O. concert fully enjoyed the beauty and perfection of classical music, with the compositions of its two main representatives. The program began with Beethoven's Overture by 'The Ruins of Athens’, which created the atmosphere for what followed. Evangelos Papadimitris applauded warmly by the audience for his intepretaion in Mozart's "Violin Concerto Nr.1". At the end of the concert the audience burst into cheers after Beethoven's ‘4th Symphony’, performed by the orchestra conducted by Ektoras Tartanis, in a very intense moment.

The two protagonists of the evening were asked about their feelings and how they lived this evening: Evangelos Papadimitris said: "It was a very beautiful experience and excited, I must say. When I started playing the concert, a feeling came out of me and I think I came closely to express it. I liked that. As I generally like this concert, which is less recognized than it deserves. It is not been often performed, even if that Mozart himself liked it a lot. "

Ektoras Tartanis said: "Working with the orchestra was a delight. It was a great pleasure. The musicians are marvelous and very open to new ideas. I think we tried some beautiful things. We tried to find out the magic elements of these works and yes, I am very pleased for this opportunity to work with the T.S.S.O.. It is also very important that the audience enjoyed it too. We had the opportunity to be happy with the concert since we were full of energy."
