The TSSO in Estonia

The Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra visiting Estonia for 2 concerts, in cooperation with Eesti Kontsert, within the framework of the actions of the project "Outgoing and internationalization actions of the State Orchestra of Thessaloniki", founded by the European Union, through the program "Greece 2.0 - National Recovery and Resilience Plan".
The TSSO performing along with the internationally acclaimed violinist Daniel Hope, the Greek lyra soloist Nikos Xanthoulis, conducted by the renowned Estonian conductor Mihkel Kütson, in a programme that includes works by its founder Solon Michaelides, the contemporary American composer Lowell Liebermann and the world premiere of his new work, as well as works by Leonard Bernstein and Robert Schumann.

Announcement
The Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra announces that due to an unexpected illness, Daniel Hope will not be able to participate in the Pärnu and Tallinn concerts. The concertino of the Thessaloniki State Orchestra Antonis Sousamoglou will replace him in the premiere of Lowell Libermann's work, while the 1st Dodecanese Suite by Yannis Konstantinidis will be played in place of Bernstein's work.

Official statement by Daniel Hope:
"I regret to announce that I must cancel my two performances in Estonia with the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra due to a short-notice medical procedure. I was particulalry looking forward to this collaboration and to the world premiere of a new work, but my doctors have advised me to rest for the next few days.
My sincere apologies to the audience, the presenters, the orchestra and its leadership, and to the composer. I am deeply grateful for everyone's understanding and hope to return to Estonia and to collaborate with the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra very soon."
