The TSSO in Aridaia 23 November 2025

The Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra appeared for the first time in Aridaia, presenting works by Silvestrov, Haydn and Tchaikovsky, with cello soloist Lila Manola and conductor Konstantinos Terzakis. The concert took place at the Xenitideio Cultural Center, in collaboration with the Municipality of Almopia.
The TSSO was welcomed by Deputy Mayor Petros Tsarknias, responsible for Sports, Culture and Education, stating in his greeting that the presence of the TSSO is a great honor for the city and that he hopes that this cooperation that has begun will continue forever.
The Director of the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra Simos Papanas expressed his gratitude, emphasizing that the orchestra is very happy for its presence in Aridaia and this collaboration that began with the Municipality of Almopia, and as a cultural institution, the TSSO will help the Municipality in organizing great events, because “classical music belongs to those who love it.”
The crowd that filled the Xenitideio Cultural Center gave the performers a warm round of applause at the end.
