Thessaloniki enjoyed Edgar Moreau and TSSO 09 December 2025

French cello virtuoso Edgar Moreau gave the music lovers of Thessaloniki a wonderful performance of Schumann's cello concerto, receiving great acclaim, to which he responded with two captivating encores. In the second part of the concert entitled 'Schumann and Schubert', the TSSO, conducted by its Principal Conductor Leo McFall, performed Schubert's highly demanding 'Grand Symphony', in one of the most intense musical evenings of the season, which ended in a five-minute standing ovation from the audience.
The concert was held in collaboration with the Cultural Center of the Region of Central Macedonia and with the support of the French Institute and the French Consulate in Thessaloniki.
