Melodic feast 20 January 2018

"the fact that we did music together, with such love and mutual appreciation,
is something that I'll keep inside me forever."

Andreas Tselikas, conductor

The works of yesterday's TSSO concert are characterized by a rare melodic and emotional wealth that the artists communicated to the audience, so that they all enjoy the evening. After the introduction from the opera 'Evrity' by Weber, George Farougias offered a wonderful interpretation of the concert of the same composer, revealing all the possibilities of this instrument, while the orchestra in the second part, under the direction of Andreas Tselikas, highlighted the grandeurhas of Schubert's 'Great Agreement'.

Andreas Tselikas, apparently satisfied, said after the end of the concert: "I would like to give a big thank you to heart for all the musicians of TSSO and director Zoe Tsokanou, of course, for the wonderful evening and cooperation, once again. The whole orchestra hugged me and I think that the fact that we're doing music together with such love and mutual appreciation is something that I keep inside me forever. Thank you all very much!"

The soloist George Farougias talked about the orchestra with the warmest words: "TSSO: An Orchestra in capital letters. Her musicians have the highest professional attitude and artistic level. They produce a homogeneous, warm and round sound. Indeed, it was another great collaboration that we had and it was a special pleasure and honor for me that I worked as a soloist with this wonderful orchestra. I would like to thank the artistic director Zoi Tocanou, who offered me this collaboration and I would like to wish her success in her term and all the common dreams of hers and of the Orchestra to take place and the Orchestra to be a success ! Both sides deserve it and I'm sure they will do it! "
