A 'fantastic' concert 11 February 2018

"Ι love this orchestra!"
Yoav Talmi, conductor

Friends of music who defied the difficult yesterday's weather and came to the Artistic Hall of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, had the chance to enjoy a truly wonderful concert. The trombonist Angelos Kritikos enthused the audience with his interpretation of the demanding "Trombone Concerto Nr.1" and met the deposition, as it happened with the conductor Yoav Talmi, who was applauded by audiences and musicians for another high level collaboration with the orchestra. The program opened with Greg's 'Scandinavian Melodies' and ended with Berlioz's 'Fantastic Symphony'.

Aggelos Kritikos said at the end: "This collaboration was great joy. The TSSO is an amazing orchestra with very nice round sound, hot and soft, playing very well together. I can say that this song is quite difficult for both the trombone and the orchestra and I think that for the few rehearses we had together we did it very well. For the public I have to say that it is always a great pleasure to play in Greece. Unfortunately, I do not have the chance to play here so often, but when I do, I'm very happy. As far as Thessaloniki is concerned, everything is a bit '.

Yoav Talmi said in turn: "I love this orchestra, as I also love this city. It is our fifth partnership and we have developed a special relationship. I enjoy the full cooperation with the musicians of TSSO and I think we have a very good chemistry among us. So I'm looking forward to the next chance to work together. "
