The beauty of the Czech music and the passion of Rachmaninoff 08 December 2018

Yesterday's concert spread all the beauty of the Czech music through the wonderful works by Suk, Šmetana and Janacek, The Czech conductor Jiří Rožeň is one of the most exciting and promising conductors of his generation and proved it yesterday leading the orchestra brilliantly on this journey to his homeland music.
The program also included the passionate 'First piano concerto' by Rachmaninoff, that was interpreted by Apostolos Palios. The Greek soloist won the audience, who 'urgently' called him back for a bis.
