We know at last, after yesterday's semifinal, the names of the three finalists of the 9
th International Piano Competition ‘Giorgos Thumis’, which will occur on Friday January the 18th, 21.00 o’ clock , at Thessaloniki Concert Hall.
The three finalists and the program of the final are:
Lev Terskov (born 1990) – Russia
Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873-1943): Piano concerto no.2 in c minor, op.18
Aleksandr Zakharov (born 1999) - Russia
Frederic Chopin (1810-1849): Piano concerto no.2 in f minor, op.21
Bowen Li (born 1996) – China
Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873-1943): Piano concerto no.2 in c minor, op.18
The TSSO will accompany the three finalist on the final with conductor Giorgos Balatsinos.
The contestants will perform in front of an audience and the jury, which is consisted of:
Kyprianos Katsaris, Jura Margulis, Pierre Reach, Gabriel Tacchino, Idith Zvi, Giorgos Konstantinidis and Maria Panagiotidou.
