Yesterday was a unique Music Day, organized by TSSO as part of the European Music Day, in collaboration with the Museum of Byzantine Culture.
The courtyard of the museum was flooded with children attending TSSO’s successful educational program “4 seasons for the whole family”, with Miguel Michaelides in solo violin and Ioanna Georganta in storytelling.
The night began with an excerpt from the Anthem of Europe, from Beethoven’s “Ninth Symphony”, while reciting excerpts of Friedrich Schiller’s “Ode to Joy” poem, at the suggestion of the French Minister of Culture and Culture and Youth Frank Riester to all the EU state-members, to make the anthem heard simultaneously throughout Europe, in the context of European cooperation and solidarity for the protection of the cultural heritage of each state-member and in the context of the campaign to restore the Notre Dame.
