A wonderful musical evening with strong emotions enjoyed all the music fans, who were in the “Friends of Music Hall”, at yesterday’s TSSO’S concert, called “Shostakovich & Mahler”.
German cellist Maximilian Hornung enchanted everyone with his interpretation at Shostakovich “Concerto for Cello No.1”, and his audience were persistently asking for a bis, with Maximilian not denying it in fresh cheering.
The same thing happened at the end of the second part, which included Mahler’s “Symphony No.1”, with Maestro Vassilis Christopoulos and the orchestra experiencing a five-minute glorification from the audience.
This concert by TSSO was dedicated to the victims of the Chortiatis Holocaust.
