The Thessaloniki Concert Hall filled with kids and their families at the end of the first cycle of the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra “The Planets” educational project 'The Planets". The project took place in cooperation with the Thessaloniki Film Festival and with the donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
From the ferocity of Mars at the beginning to the seductive song of the sirens at the end of Poseidon, Holst’s wonderful music took the audience to the Planets and shared a wealth of emotions, and with the help of the image of the impressive video edited by Frangiskos Fantopoulos.
TSSO was conducted by Georg Köhler. Female Vocal Ensemble “Voci Contra Tempo” was participated, under the tutelage of Sofia Gioldasi.
“The Planets” will complete their circle with double performances aimed at schools at the Aristotle University Concert Hall, 15
th to 17
th of January, 2020. So far, more than 5.000 students have been part of the project, while January tickets are running out fast.
