The king of tenors

Thessaloniki enjoyed the legendary tenor Jonas Kaufmann on Sunday in a co-production of the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra with the Thessaloniki Concert Hall.
The undisputed 'king of tenors' of our time offered a particularly rich program that included famous arias from operas, such as 'La Gioconda', 'Carmen' and 'Tosca', from operettas such as 'The Land of Smiles' and 'The Princess of the Circus', as well as favorite pieces of film music.
The crowd that filled the Concert Hall to capacity constantly called him to the stage and he gave him songs, such as 'Strangers in the night' and 'You'll never walk alone', resulting in the audience's enthusiasm growing even more.

onducted on this unforgettable evening by the excellent German conductor Jochen Rieder, Jonas Kaufmann's permanent collaborator since 2009.
