With three wonderful works by Schumann, Dvořák and Brahms, the concert series of the TSSO 'Students and Teachers' continued on Friday 15/5 in the Ceremonial Hall of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The TSSO was conducted by its Principal Conductor Leo McFall, while the violin soloist was the internationally recognized Greek-Albanian violinist Ionian Elias Cadesa, who performed the masterpiece 'Violin Concerto in A minor, Op. 53' by Dvořák, winning the warm applause of the audience, while he also gifted us with an excerpt from the third part of the 'Violin Sonata' by Nikos Skalkotas as an encore. The program began with Schumann's passionate 'Manfred Overture' and concluded with Brahms' captivating 'Symphony No. 4 in E minor, Op. 98', which reveals the compositional genius of its creator.
