Successfully beginning for the THAMS 2026 02 June 2026

The Thessaloniki Art & Music Summit (THAMS), a new international center for artistic creation, cultural exchange and contemporary music inspired by Greece, co-organized by the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra (TSSO) with Global Arts United (GAU), in collaboration with ABLAZE Records, successfully launched on Friday, May 29, at the AUTH Ceremonial Hall. Talented composers from all over the world wrote music inspired by Orpheus and the TSSO presents it in two concerts in our city. 
Nine (9) wonderful works were enjoyed by the audience, in the presence of their creators, at the first concert, namely:

Hangzhong Lian (China): Elegy in Dreaming
Aaro Pertmann (Estonia): Symphony, part III
Guy Renardeau (The Netherlands): Earth Sounds
Panagiotis Botzios (Greece): Dichotomie
Kervy Delcy (USA): II: ‘The Song that Escaped the Grave’ from ‘Of rain and ashes’ 
Jack Frederick (USA): Orpheus in Visual Art 
Taner Kemirtlek (Scottland): Scroll and Soft Toccata
John Maclachlan (Canada): Peripeteia

The TSSO conducted by Evan Harger while eight (8) more follow next Friday at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall:

Andres Ramirez-León (USA, Mexico): L’ amore di Orfeo

The second concert is conducted by William R. Langley, while Nikos Xanthoulis participates with his ancient Greek lyre

The event was introduced by THAMS co-directors, Diogo Carvalho from Global Arts Utd and Douglas Knehans
from Ablaze Records.
