Music united three countries on one stage! 21 June 2026

More than 200 artists on stage also transmitted from Skopje, after Sofia and Thessaloniki, a powerful message of friendship and cooperation between the Balkan peoples. Three orchestras, three choirs and three renowned opera singers from Greece, Bulgaria and North Macedonia, under the musical direction of Nauden Todorov, performed Carl Orff's iconic work 'Carmina Burana' in the open-air park of the city of Skopje in front of the Todor Proeski National Arena. The event was free for the public as part of the European Music Day events and the neighbors responded en masse to the invitation. The concert was preceded by a cocktail reception by the Embassy of Greece in North Macedonia, with the Greek Ambassador Sofia Filippidou welcoming President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, as well as representatives of the cultural, diplomatic and media community, as well as of course the artists of the concert. A special moment of the reception was the performance of the Thessaloniki Music School Choir. The students had the opportunity to meet again with their friends from the “Risto Jurukov” Music School from Ko čani, who are guests of the Embassy.
